Disclaimer: I may be compensated for this review of the CoSchedule plugin.  As always, my opinions are my own.

The whirlwind world of social media today can be daunting to figure out.  Just today I was with a group of mostly women who were there to learn about the ways they need to begin and/or develop a social media presence for their farming businesses.  Some had a Facebook page, but most of those were personal ones which did not necessarily enhance their business interests.  A few had begun using Twitter and a few others had an Instagram account.  To the best of my knowledge, there were no bloggers.  For many, it was a time issue.  After all.  These were farmers, business people and in some cases, full-time career women beyond their farms.  How could they develop the social media options available to them AND  utilize them to their full advantage?  That’s when I mentioned how I use CoSchedule,  a WordPress plug in option, to help me manage the accounts that I am actively involved with — Dining With Debbie and Arkansas Women Bloggers.

Before discovering CoSchedule I spent tons (no hyperbole either) of time scheduling individual posts to all of the various social media avenues that I used: Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, Tumblr, Facebook, Google+, etc.  Now whenever I write a post on my blog or write or edit a post for the ARWB site, I schedule the majority of the social media notifications at the same time.  There are multiple posting options available.  I can post to all or part of the social media platforms that I have integrated and at whatever times I select. For example, I sometimes schedule all to go at the same time the post goes live or I may stagger them to show at a wide variety of times, days or even months.

Look at these features available to CoSchedule users:

  • Drag-And-Drop Editorial Calendar
  • Schedule Social Media While You Blog
  • Save Time, Grow Traffic
  • Easily Re-Schedule Old Blog Content
  • Lightweight WordPress Plugin
  • Automated Social Publishing
  • Simple Team Communication
  • All-In-One Publishing Solution
  • No More WordPress Hacking

Whenever I schedule those, they show up on the CoSchedule editorial calendar so I can quickly see all of them in one visual format, and I can easily adjust those as needed.

I also like the way it provides me with a summary of the analytics on each post.  I can tell at a glance how many times each social media option has been shared, retweeted, accessed, etc.  That’s a whole lot of valuable information especially if your web site is oriented for your business or actually is your business.

It’s so easy to use and I highly recommend it especially if you need a way to free up some of the time involved in promoting the social media presence for your web site.  I do pay a nominal monthly fee, but I feel it is so worth it.  There is an trial option available so I encourage you to check it out for yourself and tell them I sent you.
