I was so excited to be able to share this Mardi Gras Gumbo Dip recipe with Riceland Foods for their recipe blog and to prepare it for my segment on THV 11 this week. It combines many of the wonderful flavors of gumbo, minus the brown roux: shrimp, rice, okra, crawfish in a deeply rich and cheesy sauce. Topped with freshly grated or shaved Parmesan and garnished with freshly chopped parsley—oh my goodness. Y’all this stuff is just soooooo good.
You really must give it a try.
Don’t wait around until Fat Tuesday to make it. You deserve to treat yourself, ya’know. Of course, you could invite a few friends or family members to join you in the feast if you feel generous.
Grab a bag of prepared crostini at the market or make it yourself. Or, just tear off hunks of crusty sourdough or garlic bread and chow down.
Go now. What are you waiting for?
