Is your garden brimming with okra? Are you wondering how you’re going to use it all? Well, welcome to my world!
It’s a nice world, though, isn’t it?
In this recipe I developed for Riceland, there’s a new way to fry up your okra harvest that just might appeal to your little (and big) ones. Rather than slicing the pods into rounds, try serving them up whole as Okra Fries in much the same way you would potato fries. Instead of ketchup, make up a batch of Comeback Sauce. Oh my goodness, are you ever gonna’ thank me for that!
Okra Fries with Comeback Sauce — make up a batch today!
Many thanks to my friend, Brenda Embry of The Blonde Gardener, for my Red Burgandy okra seeds she shared with me a couple of years ago. I’m loving this particular variety.
I’m so glad you like it! It’s been our favorite for years.
