This a gorgeous time of the year in Arkansas. Our Ozark Mountain autumns rival anything you will find in New England. God truly has a majestic paintbrush. Ya’ll come for a visit.
Take a walk along one of our trails that wander by what is becoming one of the most beloved art museums in America. Ever evolving, Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art in Bentonville, is an American treasure that is free to the public. Enjoy the beauty both inside and out.
Or come sit on the deck with me and enjoy one of the amazing views surrounding Beaver Lake. I’ll be warming up a cup of this Autumn Sipper for you. A cup of this and this view are all you need. They’ll warm your soul.
Next week I’m heading up to the north central part of the state to Eden Isle, home of the Red Apple Inn. I am excited to share photos from there with you. Oh, and did I tell you, I recently went canoeing in the Mississippi River? Uh, huh! I’m a travelin’ man!

The color up there is great and your photos are looking nice, too 🙂
Thanks! Working on them:)
Hi,
I love your blog! I am heading to Ark in a couple of weeks from Alabama and will be staying in Little Rock. I am interested in gardening, antiquing and good food. I can’t wait to see Ark and yes I agree with you it looks wonderful this fall. I didn’t know if you would recommend any tips on which garden, museum is a must to see. etc.
Thanks for sharing your state. Kathy
Kathy, if you like gardens and have time, you should drive to Hot Springs and visit Garvan Woodland Gardens (about an hour drive from Little Rock). Here is the website http://www.garvangardens.org/ This time of year isn’t as colorful after the fall peak, but there are many water features, bridges, walking paths etc…
You will also enjoy Downtown Little Rock, especially the RIver Market area. The Clinton Presidential Library and Heifer International are both great places to visit. There are lots of great restaurants in the area as well. Little Rock is becoming a foodie destination with lots of creative chefs using locally grown products.
Enjoy your visit to Arkansas!
