“Cultivate the habit of being grateful for every good thing that comes to you, and to give thanks continuously. And because all things have contributed to your advancement, you should include all things in your gratitude.” Ralph Waldo Emerson

I’m not one for making New Year’s Resolutions, but I am all for personal development and goal setting.  With that in mind, I’ve decided to embark on a new adventure along with a number of my Arkansas Women Blogger friends.

If you are not familiar with Ali Edwards’ One Little Word project, I encourage you to check it out HERE and join us in the journey.

I’ve been talking a lot with Hubby lately about re- cultivating our home garden, so the word cultivate was the first word that I selected for my One Little Word.  I tried to select something else when I found out that it had already been selected by others.  However the more I researched, I began to realize that there probably would not be a word that I could select that had not already :been chosen by someone else.

So here it is because it is what it needs to be.  There’s much to be cultivated in my life besides my home garden:

My health.
My marriage.
My family.
My faith.
My blogging and journaling.
My photography.
My attitude.
My friendships.
My life.
And yes, my garden.

As I said, there’s work to be done.  Like any good farmer, the planning and preparation begin when the fields are fallow long before the seeds go into the ground.

It is there that I also will begin.
