I’ve always known for myself that I seem to completely relax when I am at the beach more than I do anywhere else.  It is an almost instantaneous peacefulness that comes over me as soon as I am within breathing distance of the salt air and begin to feel the sea breezes stirring across my face.  I love the slower pace and the gentle harmony that embraces my family during our time together on the sand.  Sleep is certainly much more restful.  I think the feelings I have may be shared by Perfect Girl, my granddaughter.  She’s two, still sleeps in a crib at her home, but here at the beach she has been switched to the lower half of a bunk bed surrounded by protective pillows.  I think you can tell from this picture that she has made the transition very well.  I couldn’t help but envy her ability to sleep soundly in this position.  Wouldn’t we all love to be so adaptable?Rosemary Beach 2009 106
