Thanks so much to all of you for joining me for the 2012 Merry Merry Munchies event.  I hope you have taken some time too visit some of the other blogs.  You are a talented group of ladies.
I will be announcing the winners of  the $50 gift certificate to RobinsonLane.com (jewelry by Christy Bourns) or the signed copy of Arkansas Pie: A Slice of the Natural State written by Kat Robinson  on Wednesday. There are still two days to enter so be sure to check back to see if you are one of the lucky ones.

Arkansas Women Bloggers are participating in a Handmade Ornament Exchange this year and today is the big “reveal.”  All participants were to send the ornaments they made by December 10 and to announce the name of the blogger from whom we received an ornament on December 17.

My “Secret Santa” is Alicia Dowell of Hope, Arkansas which is southwest of where I live.  I have enjoyed checking out her blog Simple Words by A and hope you will as well.  She has a giveaway of Petit Jean Meat products going on at her blog that I’m certain you will want to enter.

She is a young mother and wife who claims to be a Pinterest addict (I can relate; can you?)  Like me she loves to read and cook. Unlike me, however, she’s a big Stephen King fan.  I’ve just never quite gotten there myself.  But she is a Lord of the Rings devotee which makes me smile.  I look forward to getting to meet Alicia soon.

She was sweet to recognize that we are big Razorback fans, thus the A for Arkansas.  The ornaments will also work very well since my last name begins with an A as well.  That works out quite well, I think.

Be sure to link up with the linky as well as the Rafflecopter.  I wish you the best and good luck in the giveaway.

May God Bless you during this Christmas season.

I cannot let this time pass without offering my condolences to the families and citizens of Newtown, Connecticut.  As a long-time teacher, the memories of so many of my students have crossed my thoughts in these last few hours.  I thank God that I never had to face such a tragedy during my career.  I do pray for the families who lost loved ones and for those that remain as they deal with their suffering and healing in the days to come.
